Malus Echtermeyr

A very graceful weeping crabapple, usually grafted on a tall standard to form a spreading specimen. Dark branches and purple foliage that matures to bronze green make this tree attractive, even when not in flower. In spring, rosy, single flowers are produced along the whole length of each branch making for a great flower display. Small, reddish-purple, decorative fruit in autumn. Great specimen for large containers and small gardens. Shelter from strong winds. Best planted in deeply worked, free-draining, moisture-retentive soil. Height 2-2.5m
