These variety are best grown in warmer areas of New Zealand. Rabbiteye varieties are know to be more drought, heat and less optimal soil resistant. Rabbiteye varieties fruit from January through to April.

An early season variety with medium to large dark blue berries with a very good flavour.
The bush has an open and upright habit.
As well as culinary uses the blueberry has many landscape uses including hedging and use in mixed plantings.

Did you know that the blueberry is packed full of nutrients and antioxidants – is low in calories and sodium, contains no cholesterol, is a source of fibre and to top that, they taste great!

Recent research has revealed the blue pigment (anthocyanin) is the major contributor to its high antioxidant levels (antioxidants prevent cell damage that occurs from everyday wear and tear). The levels in blueberries are higher than just about any other fruit or vegetables.
