Pyrethrum

A semi-woody perennial plant with finer divided silver green leaves and slender stems which carry large solitary white daisy like flowers with bright yellow centers.The dried flowers may be ground to a powder and applied as an insecticidal dust. The flowers have also been used commercially to make the well known pyrethrum sprays, which kill flies and other soft bodied insects.
