Schefflera Amate (Umbrella Plant) 15cm

The Schefflera Amate is also known as the umbrella tree because of its glossy, palm like leaf structure. It can grow to become a large scale plant but you can maintain its height and shape with regular pruning. Being a plant with air-purifying properties it is a perfect addition to help create a healthier home. Makes a hardy and forgiving indoor Pot Plant.

 

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 2m tall. Ideal for indoor pots.

Light: Medium to bright indirect light

Water: Water well about once a week, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings. Keep on the drier side in winter

Humidity: High, Can mist plant 3 times a week to help create humidity minimise brown leaf tips.

Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Highly Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
