At one time, ceramic and plastic were the most common things to see plants paired with. But we at Oderings really love the trend of putting wonderful houseplants and patio plants in baskets. Baskets were often thought of as a practical storage option only, but they are also great vessels for plants, adding warmth and texture to a room.
Our new range of exclusive baskets has been made with a range of materials, such as hogla grass, which makes for a robust fabric, and banana fibre and raffia, which create different textures and detailing. The different combinations of linear design and crisscross patterns provide modern designs to suit any home.
These baskets are produced in Uganda and supplied to us by Trade Aid. More than sixty independent women’s groups
contributed to making these pieces to support their families through the art of basket making basketware.
Tip: When adding houseplants, don't forget to place a saucer in the bottom of the basket first.
