This hardy, evergreen shrub has large, dark, velvet green foliage and produces beautiful, large, saucer shaped, royal purple flowers throughout Summer and Autumn

Ideal for low hedging, making formal edgings to paths and can be trimmed into topiary forms

Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in well drained soil. Protect from harsh winds and frost. Tolerant of colder conditions. Prune to two thirds of size after flowering.

Mulch with compost and apply a light dressing of acidic fertiliser late in the summer
