Macho Fern Hanging Basket

A very popular relations to the Boston fern, with long, graceful, arching fronds of rich green leaflets creating a very tropical feel. Best displayed in hanging baskets and large containers. Best of all, Macho fern care is easy, and they can grow either as a houseplant or an outdoor specimen in warmer regions.

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 1.8m x 1.8m. Ideal for pots indoors or hanging baskets

Light: Thrives in low to medium indirect sunlight, avoid direct sun

Water: Water every week, allowing very top layer of soil to dry out between waterings and keep a little on the drier side in the winter.

Humidity: High mist twice a week to minimise brown leaf tips.

Soil: This plant should stay in this pot for around six months. After that re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
