Mini Orchid Phalaenopsis in Ceramic Pot

This beautiful tropical Phalaenopsis orchid is now Europe's number-one-selling indoor plant and is fast becoming New Zealand's favourite. Orchids are much easier to look after than most people think. Grows beautiful flowers year round and stands tall on its leafy stem. Small, compact orchid, great indoor houseplant.

Care Advice

Cut the spike just above the first strong bud (approx 20 cm above the pot) when flowering has finished. Your orchid will usually flower again within 6 to 8 months. Indoors only in a high light area but not in direct sunlight.

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 50cm tall. Ideal for pots indoors.

Light: Bright indirect light

Water: Water weekly, soak for 20 minutes then leave to drain. Doesn't like sitting in water.

Humidity: Medium, mist plant once a week to minimise brown leaf tips.

Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season

Flowers: pink/purple, to encourage flowering, plants must have a drop in night time temperatures.

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Non-Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
