In winter and early spring the tips of the branches bear clusters of soft-mauve flowers that are offset by the narrow lance-shaped dark green leaves. A pretty plant for all gardens especially in hot and dry areas. Suited to mixed shrub borders or as a low informal hedge. Grow in a sunny to partly shady position in well drained soil. Trim after flowering to encourage dense bushy growth.
