Has a more clumping habit than the more common groundcover types. Plant forms a mound of deep green leaves, bearing showy spikes of soft pink flowers in mid to late spring. Evergreen in most regions. Will perform well in tubs or mixed containers. The mounding habit makes this suitable to both the border or rock garden.
