Basil Dark Opal

Deep purple, distinctly flavoured and aromatic leaves are used similarly to sweet green basil. Pink and white flower spikes in summer. Infuse leaves in oil or vinegar. Fresh leaves may be dried or frozen. A delicious flavour in tomato, pasta, and pesto dishes. Best fresh. Trim herb regularly and fertilise with a liquid fertiliser every couple of weeks in active growing season. Basil love the hear. Plant in well drained soil in full sun sheltered from wind.
