String of Watermelons 12cm

Commonly known as String of Watermelons, Gooseberries or Beads, it is a trailing, succulent vine with bead shaped leaves down the length of the hanging vine. The beads are firm and bright green coloured with whitish-purple stripes down the length of them, which looks similar to watermelon skin hence the name.

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 30cm long. Ideal for hanging baskets or trailing over a shelf edge. 

Light: Full sun

Water: Water once a weeks, top layer of soil should be left to dry out slightly between watering. 

Humidity: Medium / high humidity. Can mist 3 times a week to help with humidity level.

Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
