Juglans Regia

Juglans regia is commonly know as the English Walnut or Common Walnut and is a slow-growing tree with a wide-spreading, rounded crown, making it an excellent choice for planting in paddocks. It begins producing easy-to-crack walnuts in the autumn, typically around fifteen years after planting. In late spring to early summer, Juglans regia displays yellow-green catkins that provide pollen for bees. While it is self-fertile, planting it alongside another variety can enhance crop yields.

Plant grows 8m high by 6m wide over approx 10 years.
