Blueberries Blue Dawn

Blueberry Blue Dawn has blue/grey leaves in summer, and develops a red hue during cooler months. Growth is upright and spreading. Fruits from mid January to April. This is a Rabbiteye type blueberry and is suitable for home gardens throughout the country. It is self fertile, but cross-pollination (two different varieties) will produce higher yields and fruit quality will be improved.

Recent research has revealed the blue pigment (anthocyanin) is the major contributor to its high antioxidant levels (antioxidants prevent cell damage that occurs from everyday wear and tear). The levels in blueberries are higher than just about any other fruit or vegetables.
