This charming cottage plant is tolerant of dry periods and coastal conditions, though some protection from salty winds is recommended. Cut back after flowering to maintain its shape. Its flowers can be used in floral arrangements. Rich in essential oils, tannins, and bitter compounds, Santolina naturally repels unwanted insects. It can also be used as a mosquito repellent and to deter moths in wardrobes.

Planting Guide: Before planting cultivate soil to a depth of 20cm and mix in compost and complete garden fertiliser. Use Oderings Potting Mix for containers.
