The Janet Craig Dragon plant (Dracaena ‘Janet Craig’) features rosettes of glossy deep green leaves that grow from an upright central stalk, with each leaf elegantly curving downward.
As a houseplant, Dracaena Janet Craig can grow up to 2m feet tall, with a life span of around 10 to 15 years. It prefers medium indirect light and is low-maintenance, making it an excellent choice for beginners. Also known as Dracaena fragrans ‘Compacta’ (with 'fragrans' referring to its fragrant white flowers), the Janet Craig Dragon plant is considered lucky in Chinese culture, akin to the auspicious Lucky Bamboo, which also belongs to the Dracaena family. While they make fantastic houseplants, it's important to note that Dracaena plants are toxic to pets if ingested.
Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 2m tall. Ideal for pots indoors.
Light: Bright indirect light
Water: Allowing the soil to dry out between waterings and keep a little on the drier side.
Humidity: Medium, mist plant once a week to minimise brown leaf tips.
Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix
Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season
