Penny Royal

Strong minty aroma. Often used as a tea to ease headaches or in yesteryears it was used to flavour puddings and sauces. Has insect repelling properties.

NOTE: NOT TO BE TAKEN BY PREGNANT WOMAN.

A low growing vigorous ground cover. Will grow in full sun but the flavour is less bitter when grown in shady areas. Tiny pink flowers are produced among the leaves. Best eaten fresh from the plant or as a salad garnish. One or two leaves a day (an not more) can give temporary pain relief. Also can be seeped in hot water as a herbal tea.
