Rosy-purple flowers in late summer on strong upright stems. An easy to grow, compact perennial that requires no staking. Will not tolerate wet soil in winter. A good cut-flower (for best results cut stems when 2/3 open). Tuberous roots can make soothing tea, or used to make a gargle for a sore throat.
