An evergreen shrub with finely divided, aromatic leaves which can be dried and used in moth repelling sachets. An extract of the leaves, absinthe, is an ingredient in liqueurs. Thrives in well drained soil in a sunny, open position. An ornamental herb for borders, cottage gardens, containers and general garden planting. Prune to maintain compact growth.
