HAVELOCK NORTH
In Autumn 1997 Oderings purchased the land and assets at 57 Brookvale Road, Havelock North. A garden centre was built and opened to the public in November the same year, 1997.
In 1999 Daniel Hart became general manager. Daniel had completed his apprenticeship at our Christchurch nursery, at the age of 20, and is a fully qualified nurseryman. Daniel is a 5th generation Odering and in 2005 became a director.
Daniel works in the nursery growing the bedding and veggie plants for all North Island branches while new-comer Peter Lindroos managers the Retail department. 
If anything, we underestimated the growth potential of Havelock North garden centre, our North Island garden centre demand, and Daniel's ability of fulfilling it! Starting out with 2,720 square metres of growing space, in seven short years it now covers 13,500 square metres, and is now fully developed.
Come visit our retail garden centre with the initiative Garden Art displays and most of all friendly staff.
